Security Jobs in Web3

We’re looking for a Security Engineer to join our remote-first team here at Trust Machines and help us secure our sBTC Bridge that enables programmability to Bitcoin. This role will be critical in maintaining the highest security standards throughout our product's lifecycle. The ideal candidate has a strong background in security fundamentals and experience in securing smart contracts. As our first Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for improving the security of our smart contracts, setting and maintaining good security and engineering processes, and mentoring others on the team about security best practices.

What You’ll Do:

• Improve the security of our smart contracts through audits, testing, formal verification, etc.
• Set and maintain good security and engineering processes.
• Mentor others on the team about security and share your knowledge.
• Collaborate closely with engineers throughout the development lifecycle and production deployment.
• Test the implementation in exceptional cases to ensure security.

What We’re Looking For:

• Driven by passion, curiosity, and desire to make a meaningful contribution to the world.
• Strong security fundamentals knowledge.
• Experience in auditing, developing or securing blockchain bridges, smart contracts, threat analysis, hacking, penetration testing, intrusion detection, logging, malware analysis, or forensics.
• Fluency in Rust, C++, Golang, or similar languages (we work primarily with Rust, but prior experience with this language is not mandatory)
• Deep knowledge and passion for crypto applications and Bitcoin.

We’d Also Like to See:

• Experience with discovering vulnerabilities at the design/system level.
• Proven ability to communicate across roles to drive a security mindset across the company.
• Understanding of Clarity, Solidity, or Solana and smart contract best practices.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
