📌 Senior DataOps Engineer – AWS, Kubernetes, Git (Full-time, Remote, On-Call Support) Kick off your next career move with Launchpad! You’ll sit at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, automation, and data engineering, helping the Data Warehousing & Insights Department build, maintain, and evolve its data ecosystem. 🗓 Start date: ASAP📆 Contract type: Contractor, Remote, Indefinite🌐 Work hours: Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm PST (flexible) + On-Call Support Rotation

🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing

Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data engineering & analytics platforms, ensuring speed and reliability. Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, EKS, IAM, MWAA), focusing on scalability and cost-efficiency. Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Docker, and Kubernetes. Monitor and troubleshoot large-scale systems, delivering root cause analysis and preventing future incidents. Collaborate with Data Engineers & Software Engineers, improving reliability, scalability, and observability of data platforms. Enforce security best practices (RBAC, compliance, access management) across systems.

✅ What You Need to Succeed Must-haves

5+ years in DataOps / DevOps / SRE roles. Strong CI/CD background (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD). Hands-on AWS expertise (EC2, S3, IAM, EKS, MWAA). Solid IaC/CaC automation skills (Terraform, Ansible, Helm). Proficiency in Kubernetes (operator/developer level). Experience with Git (GitLab a strong plus). Python + Bash scripting to automate and maintain pipelines. Familiarity with data infrastructure (distributed databases, compute platforms, orchestration). Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience with large-scale systems. Strong communication skills, able to work cross-functionally in remote teams.

Nice-to-haves

Snowflake expertise: administration, RBAC, compliance, support (ability to lead and teach in this area). Background in ETL/ELT, Data Lakes, Data Warehousing. Experience with cloud-native data services (BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks). Familiarity with Airflow administration. HashiCorp Vault experience. Relevant cloud/data security certifications.
