SUMMARY

The GrowthStrategyAnalystis the arm of the firm that is responsible for making decisions to help grow the company through business strategy, strategic partnerships, and Corporate Development/M&A activity. We develop and help to implement strategies that maximize shareholder value.

Driven by an insatiable passion for the cryptocurrency and the Bitcoin mining industry, the Growth/Strategy Team is rigorous in their analytical methods, creative approach, and thorough problem-solving abilities. We build relationships with internal and external stakeholders easily by influencing decisions with a collaborative, data-based approach.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1.Identify, analyze, and recommend business strategies, strategic business partnerships, and acquisition and investment opportunities that accelerate Marathon’s mission.
2.Leverage financial models to analyze and select the best path and partnerships to support the blockchain ecosystem and Marathon strategic goals.
3.Build external business development initiatives that promote Marathon’s revenues, services, and products.
4.Evaluate new strategies and opportunities using quantitative and qualitative methods.
5.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and technology, toachieve company-wide goals.
6.Maintain understanding of latest trends and technologies in the blockchain space.

A passion for Bitcoin and a strong understanding of how Bitcoin and mining work, or the desire to learn.
Experience managing strategies, multiple partnerships, and business deals at once through all deal phases.
Intrinsic motivation and a strong entrepreneurial spirit – you take charge, solve problems, and challenge the status quo.
Strong experience in developing financial modeling such as market data models, revenue projections, and ability to find creative solutions/deal structures.
Strong communication skills; verbal, written, and presentational; high attention to detail.
Integrity, empathy, curiosity, and a sense of humor

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
1-3years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, strategy consulting, or tech.
