Job summary
The Amazon Global Media & Entertainment (GME) New Initiatives team is looking for an individual to drive the vision, strategies, capability roadmaps, and feature priorities for Web3 Go-To-Market (GTM). In this role, you will work across the GME businesses – Prime Video, Amazon Music, Audible, Prime Gaming, Twitch, Wondery, – to understand customer use cases and turn them into reality.

Web3 stands to revolutionize the way we engage with content, creators, brands, and audiences. Blockchain, dApps, NFTs, and, wallet technologies open up new incentive structures and monetization opportunities and changes the approach to content creation and IP ownership. With world-class content, massively adopted digital entertainment products, and GTM synergies across the whole of Amazon, GME has the key ingredients to be a major player in the Web3 revolution.

The successful candidate will form a vision that gets to the core of what creators and customers value, define strategies that move that vision forward, and exert influence to align diverse stakeholders. Candidates should enjoy working in a collaborative, analytical, and fast-paced environment and be comfortable interacting with business and technical cross-functional teams. She/he should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and pragmatically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. Candidates must dive deep into data, have strong writing skills, and be comfortable leading executive-level reviews.

The successful candidate is a Web3 zealot but understands how to leverage Web2 models as a bridge to adoption. Designing cryptoeconomic incentives, fostering online communities, and building-out critical Web3 infrastructure and partnerships are in-scope for this role. A keen sense for building network effects – both within a community and across Amazon products – iterative development, and customer security are hallmarks of a successful person in this role. This is a highly strategic position that will impact the direction of Amazon’s role in the media and entertainment industry.
