Job Intro
As a Smart Contract Engineer at IOTA you’ll become a pioneer of the Move language, the IOTA Move Framework and developer tooling related to smart contracts. We design, build and improve safe abstractions of complex systems to better the programmability layer of the open-source IOTA technology stack.
Requirements and Responsibilities
Requirements:
- Solid foundations of computer science and software development. You can reason about algorithms, architectures and software patterns.
- Experience in system design languages such as Rust, Go or C++.
- Experience in developing software for decentralized applications. You may have worked with smart contracts, developed infrastructure services, built developer tooling or perhaps web applications in the field.
- Experience with TypeScript or other web development languages.
- Excellent communication skills and ownership mindset. You are autonomous but know when to ask for help.
- A passion for educating fellow developers.
Responsibilities:
- Becoming an expert in Move with the aim of sharing your knowledge with other developers.
- Designing and implementing the IOTA Move Framework, a suite of system level smart contracts that expose essential functionality for developing on top of IOTA.
- Working closely with the protocol and runtime teams to identify and implement new features to the framework.
- Building tools, libraries, APIs and SDKs to support smart contract developers.
- Developing example applications and content for developer education. Be an evangelist of the IOTA Move Framework.
