Company Description

Binance Labs, the venture capital arm of Binance, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced crypto VC Portfolio Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is expected to represent Binance Labs well, identify business opportunities and provide value add to Binance Labs portfolio companies by deeply understanding the crypto ecosystems, making sound judgements and coming up with creative solutions. This role involves managing and growing our portfolio of Web3 investments, providing strategic guidance to portfolio companies, and identifying new investment opportunities.

Job Description

  • Engage, build and maintain strong relationships with founders in our portfolio companies, industry experts, and other stakeholders in the Web3 ecosystem, to build key relationships and influence 

  • Oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of hundreds of crypto investments (including digital assets and equities) by collaborating with the investment team, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with the firm’s strategic objectives 

  • Evaluate the performance of portfolio companies, providing regular updates and reports to senior management 

  • Monitor market trends to conduct market analysis and risk assessment from time to time 

  • Supporting the business across a broad scope of corporate matters, including corporate restructuring, divestments, reporting requirements (as required) and other transactional initiatives by portfolio companies

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Experience: [6-8] years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, private equity, or a related field, with a focus on Web3, blockchain, or cryptocurrency investments.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.  

  • Strong problem-solving, communication (written and verbal), organizational and analytical skills

  • Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely

  • Strong attention to detail 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with portfolio companies and external stakeholders.

  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-oriented approach.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Being a self-starter with good judgment, capable of thriving independently and collaboratively within a team environment. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of the Web3 ecosystem, including blockchain technology, decentralized finance (DeFi), NFTs, and other emerging trends is a plus.

  • Experience working with early-stage startups and providing strategic guidance to founders.

  • Strong network within the Web3 and blockchain community.
