Requirements:


  • Higher Legal Education: Completion of a bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) or equivalent undergraduate degree, followed by a postgraduate degree such as Master of Laws (LLM), or equivalent higher legal education from a reputable institution.
  • 1+ Year of Experience: Prior experience working in a legal capacity. Preferably within the fintech industry or a related field, demonstrating practical application of legal knowledge and skills in a professional setting.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate legal concepts and advice to non-legal stakeholders within the company and to external parties, including regulators, partners, and clients.
  • Proficient in English Language: B2 and higher. Ability to effectively communicate and comprehend legal and business concepts in English

Responsibilities:


  • Regulatory Compliance research: assist in researching and interpreting relevant laws and regulations governing financial technology (including blockchain and cryptocurrencies), ensuring that the company’s products and services comply with these regulations.
  • Contract Review and Drafting: review and draft contracts and other legal documents.
  • Litigation Support: support senior lawyers in conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, and preparing for court proceedings or arbitration.
  • Onboarding and KYB verification support: Assist senior lawyers in completing KYB (Know Your Business) verifications for third-party providers.
  • Stakeholder Communication: collaborate with internal stakeholders to address legal issues and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Support senior lawyers in administrative tasks: answer emails, send out agreements for signature, organize documents, manage databases, and ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.
