DIRECTOR, PARTNERSHIPS NON-CRYPTO, USA
CoinDesk is seeking an experienced high performing business development salesperson responsible for non-crypto client sales throughout the USA. As crypto becomes more mainstream, both consumer and B2B companies are utilizing this disruptive technology through NFTs, investor products, Web3, and more. Key targets that align with the CoinDesk audience include disruptive companies in tech, finance, travel, and consumer goods. As an integral contributor to CoinDesk’s growth, the person in this role will identify prospects, build new relationships, and grow existing relationships. The candidate who will thrive in this role has a proven history of creating opportunities and earning the trust of clients while exponentially growing revenue through untapped sectors.
This role reports to the Managing Director, Partnerships located in the New York City area. Role can be remote or NYC-based with regular access to the CoinDesk HQ office.
RESPONSIBILITES

- Grow CoinDesk’s non-endemic business with a heavy focus on delivering client ROI through smart solutions and client service.
- Proven business development skills to earn a client’s business.
- Strong contributor to sales team revenue targets.
- Positive and productive collaboration with the global partnerships team is vital, as well as business leads within CoinDesk. We thrive as a team.
- Responsible for representing all CoinDesk products, which includes the Consensus annual event, digital media, video, podcasts, newsletters, thought leadership, virtual events, and webinars.
- This role is a new position with a limited existing book of business. Candidates must thrive in a role where he/she/they create the opportunity.
- Candidates must be highly productive working alone and handling the start-to-finish cycle in the sales process.
ABOUT YOU

- 10+ years of high-level client facing media sales experience within global finance, tech, and/or consumer goods sectors.
- Past sales experience with large scale live events as well as all digital media platforms.
- Experience selling to agencies and top disruptive brands.
- Moderate level of crypto knowledge with strong appetite to learn more.
- Experience selling a mobile-first, millennial male audience.
- Must prove an ability to self-manage and self-start. Must also prove organizational skills as it relates to client relationships and internal communication.
- Ability to travel with periodic trips one week or longer.
- Proficient in Salesforce, Excel, Powerpoint, Slack, G Suite, MediaRadar.
- Multi-lingual a bonus.
