MG Stover’s Associates in the Fund Accounting groups are responsible for carrying out our client engagements according to the terms of our SLAs and report directly to their assigned engagement Senior Associates and Managers. Associates are involved with all aspects of the client engagement and are critical to the success of the company. The ideal candidate will possess experience auditing investment funds or performing investment fund accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and review investor capital activity documents and follow up with investors for missing information
  • Perform anti-money laundering checks and review investors due diligence and KYC documents
  • Enter transaction data into the various applicable systems
  • Assist in the communication for multiple funds and their investors
  • Monitor and reconcile money movement associated with capital activity
  • Send reports, such as contract notes, statements, capital call notices, and distribution notices, to investors and clients
  • Communicate with internal teams, fund managers, investors, custodians, and auditors
  • Assist with the distribution of tax documents and audited financial statements
  • Ability to review and understand legal documents, such as offering documents for hedge funds and private equity funds

Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new applications
  • Must have a high level of attention to detail and organization skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing numerous projects and clients
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively and proficiently both verbally and written
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative while also being a team player
  • Commit to going above and beyond for the success of the team and our clients

Compensation Package

  • Base compensation between $54,000 - $60,000
  • Stock options
  • Up to 10% discretionary bonus
  • Unlimited Paid Time Off (PTO) annually

Education and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • Internship or experience in industry a plus
