The sales strategy team at Chainalysis is pivotal in driving revenue growth and enhancing market penetration. They are responsible for developing go-to-market (GTM) strategies, conducting market analysis, and establishing performance metrics, among other key initiatives. Their ultimate goal is to maximize revenue and market share while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

In this pivotal role, the Sales Strategy Lead will drive the Global Revenue team’s involvement in go-to-market strategies, sales analysis, commercialization efforts, and pricing strategy to optimize our market presence and align with global business goals. This highly collaborative role will also serve as the liaison with the European sales leaders and sales teams, ensuring their insights, feedback, and best practices are integrated into global sales processes and initiatives.  This role requires strong data analytics skills to make data-informed decisions. Central to this role is a deep commitment to enhancing the customer experience and engagement. The Director will gain a global perspective on the varying customer maturity and needs of different geographic markets and market segments, using this data to tailor strategies accordingly. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant global impact on how we go-to-market, ensuring that customer-centric strategies drive our business forward through data-driven insights and strategic decision-making.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Serve as the main contact for the European sales leaders and teams, integrate feedback from the European sales team into global sales processes and initiatives, ensuring their perspectives are represented in strategic decisions.

  • Represent GTM’s role in the commercialization process, collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, implement, execute go-to-market strategy, ensuring alignment with global business objectives.

  • Conduct detailed analysis of sales performance metrics, market conditions, and identify trends

  • Drive innovative pricing strategies and options for Field Teams to accelerate market penetration, outmaneuver competitors, increase sales effectiveness, and improve customer experience

  • Develop and implement effective pricing strategies to maximize profitability and market share.

  • Gather and analyze market intelligence to support sales strategies, staying informed on industry trends and competitor activities.

  • Developing an understanding of and staying current with the competitive landscape

We’re looking for candidates who have: 

  • Great analytical and Commercial Skills, and a strong ability to analyze sales data and market trends, with extensive experience in SaaS sales performance and pipeline management.  Expertise in developing and implementing effective GTM strategies for SaaS products

  • Proficiency in using data analytics tools to drive decision-making and optimize sales strategies

  • Excellent communication communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams and representation in strategic discussions along with the proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

  • Superb commercial acumen and show a deep understanding of SaaS commercialization and go-to-market strategy alignment.  

  • A Track record of driving successful sales strategies and contributed significantly to company growth.

  • Strong comprehension of critical SaaS operations (i.e. software delivery and go-to-market operations, commercialization)

  • Experience in high-impact strategic initiatives at a high-growth tech company

  • The ability to build and execute independently or as part of a team; and comfortable in bringing structure to ambiguity

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams by influence, without direct authority

  • A demonstrated track record of working with and earning the trust and confidence of executives and leaders at high-growth tech companies

Nice to have experience: 

  • Understanding/curiosity within blockchain technologies/crypto
