Description

We are seeking an experienced IT manager who can use their technology skills to build and maintain a corporate technology landscape that allows us to work effectively and efficiently. In this role, you will recommend and implement technology solutions, manage system security and upgrades, provide employee training and support, and collaborate with key departments. Our ideal candidate has extensive knowledge in IT service management, experience managing and mentoring staff, and advanced industry knowledge to keep us on the cutting edge. From day one, you’ll have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our IT operations, and an ongoing impact on our overall growth.

Responsibilities

  • Build and administer essential IT operations, including but not limited to: operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
  • Manage and mentor internal staff and oversee both their work and that of external providers
  • Initiate, coordinate, and enforce policies and procedures that govern corporate IT usage company-wide
  • Implement ITSM best practices so as to ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services
  • Responsible for the company-wide identity access management (IAM) strategy
  • Train employees on software and hardware and provide technical support when needed
  • Responsible for implementing MDM best practices so as to ensure smooth and secure continued operations
  • Identify vulnerabilities, needs for upgrades and other opportunities for improvement, as well as the continuous monitoring of systems
  • Responsible for executing on the mitigation technology risks as identified by the CyberSecurity team
  • Implement disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures
  • Own internal projects that will optimize infrastructure and workflows
  • Oversee system audits of technologies implemented
  • Partner with the People team in the coordination of onboarding and offboarding employees and contractors
  • Partner with Finance to track and maintain hardware and software inventory from both operational and financial perspectives
  • Partner with Finance in combating shadow IT and reducing tech sprawl across the company
  • Coordinate with People and Finance in headcount planning and develop the corporate technology plan to ensure the scalability of company operations
  • Act as a strategic thought partner in the research and evaluation of emerging technologies that can positively impact the business
  • Assess potential vendor specifications and act as a translator for the business while protecting their interests and needs

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, computer science or related field
  • 5+ years experience in IT service management
  • Prior experience administering, owning, and understanding the interoperability of various SaaS systems (i.e. Okta, Atlassian, Google Workspace, LastPass, Slack, etc.)
  • Prior experience with MDM and zero-touch deployment (JAMF Pro)
  • Prior experience in tech startup(s) and understanding of best-in-class tech stacks
  • Experience with programming languages and operating systems (specifically macOS), current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system security, and system performance monitoring
  • Expertise with implementing, configuring, and testing solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in crypto, fintech, and/or payments technology preferred
  • Prior experience scaling a high growth startup towards a successful exit
  • Proven leadership skills and experience mentoring and growing junior staff
  • Strong analytical systems thinking combined with creative problem solving skills
  • Professional certifications related to the IT field
  • ITIL Service Management Framework
