Objective Labs builds the risk infrastructure that makes DeFi the financial system of the future. We deliver decision-grade risk intelligence securing over $3B for teams such Euler, HypurrFi, and RedStone. We combine real-time monitoring, quantitative models, and strategic advisory to prevent crises and make our clients' toughest decisions straightforward. We're a close-knit team of 10 operating remote-first, building truly innovative risk intelligence for decentralized finance.

We're hiring a Protocol Strategist to own client relationships, lead weekly risk delivery, and be the player-coach who helps our team ship world-class work on time. You'll have analysts and quantitative researchers supporting you, but you own the outcomes and the relationship.

The Role

  • Own client relationships. Deliver risk work, lead calls, drive strategic decisions
  • Set priorities for your pod. Choose what matters, timebox asks, and deliver decision-ready work on time
  • Triage incidents and Slack requests. Respond fast and communicate clearly with clients
  • Persuade on high-stakes changes with clear reasoning and quantified impact
  • QA dashboards, validate assumptions, and push the quality bar higher across team output
  • Partner with analysts on SQL and data, with quants on models, and with executives on high-impact items
Your Profile

Required:

  • 5+ years in DeFi with deep, hands-on knowledge of lending protocols (Aave, Compound, Morpho, Euler, Spark)
  • Track record of client-facing work where you owned outcomes (product, risk, research, advisory, or governance)
  • Strong technical writing: crisp memos, deep dives, thesis building
  • Enough SQL or Python to scope work, QA dashboards, and validate analyst output
  • Commercial judgment to balance safety, growth, and revenue when advising clients
Bonus:

  • Experience working at a lending protocol, risk consultancy, or in protocol governance
  • Background in quantitative risk, treasury management, or market-making
  • Deep knowledge of oracle design, liquidations, economics
  • You've been in war rooms during crashes or exploits
  • Higher education in a quantitative field (Math, Economics, Statistics, CS)
Why Work Here

  • High impact: Your recommendations secure billions in TVL and prevent catastrophic failures
  • Direct influence: Work with protocol executives making real decisions
  • Small and excellent: 10-person remote team with high trust and autonomy
  • Quality over speed: We push back on deadlines when the analysis isn't ready. You'll never ship work you're not proud of
  • Learn constantly: DeFi evolves faster than any market in history. You'll be challenged to stay ahead every week
  • Contribute to public research: Contagion models, oracle failure modes, incentive optimization - work that advances the field
Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and seniority
  • Unlimited time off with full autonomy over work hours and location
  • Reimbursements for internet, co-working, and professional development
  • Bonuses: birthday, year-end bonus, performance incentives

What do you do in a strategy job?

A strategy job typically involves identifying opportunities for growth and development for a company or organization, as well as developing plans to achieve those objectives

Depending on the specific role and industry, a strategy job might involve tasks such as market research, analyzing data, identifying trends and patterns, formulating business plans and proposals, forecasting revenue and expenses, identifying risks and opportunities, and communicating recommendations to senior management

Some examples of specific strategy jobs might include business strategy, marketing strategy, product strategy, corporate strategy, and operations strategy

In each of these areas, the primary goal is to develop a comprehensive plan that will help the company achieve its goals and objectives, while minimizing risks and maximizing opportunities

This might involve working with other departments within the organization, as well as external stakeholders such as customers, suppliers, and industry experts

In addition to these specific tasks, a strategy job often requires strong analytical skills, creativity, strategic thinking, and excellent communication and collaboration skills

Successful strategy professionals must be able to work well with others, develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, and effectively communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
