The Uniswap Protocol is the largest decentralized trading and automated market making protocol (often called a DEX, “Decentralized Exchange”) on Ethereum.
The Uniswap Labs team was a major contributor to the Uniswap Protocol and now focuses on building a suite of products to support the Uniswap Labs ecosystem. Our team is one of the most impactful in crypto. We are headquartered in SoHo in New York City and this role will be NYC based.
The Uniswap marketing team is looking for a dynamic, self-starting Community Partner Marketer to join the community team! You’ll help build deeper relationships with many subsets of the Uniswap and larger DeFi community through a variety of initiatives, including intimate digital and IRL forums, assembling and managing organized groups of trusted partners/relationships, performing outreach campaigns, and so much more. This person will have their finger on the pulse of the industry, who the players are, and think creatively about how we can bring them closer to our brand, and turn them each into unicorn enthusiasts. 🦄
The Community Partner Marketer will collaborate with our Head of Community, the wider marketing team, and key internal teams (product, eng, etc) to be the bridge between Uniswap, our products, and our community members. The Community Partner Marketer will play a crucial role in developing and executing innovative new projects and programs alongside the head of community. This will require flexibility, creative problem-solving, and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
Responsibilities
- Relationship Management and Community Engagement:
- Develop and manage 1:1 relationships with key Uniswap community stakeholders and swapper segments, ensuring personalized engagement and their long-term success with Uniswap
- Manage and nurture a portfolio of existing DeFi community and partner relationships.
- Build and maintain a CRM of these users, ecosystem partners and Uniswap advocates
- Communication and Digital Channel Management:
- Develop creative approaches to maintaining open lines of communication with each segment of the community.
- Oversee digital channels/forums (Slack, Telegram, Discord, etc.) to engage with these different subsets of Uniswap community members.
- Facilitate communication and regular updates between partners and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Planning, Collaboration and Marketing:
- Collaborate with content marketers and social teams to develop and execute creative marketing campaigns that align with broader company objectives.
- Ensure the success of these partner marketing campaigns by serving as relationship manager with the partner and project manager internally
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitive strategies to adapt partnership plans accordingly.
- CRM and Network Growth:
- Build and maintain a CRM of users, ecosystem partners, and Uniswap advocates.
- Represent the company at industry events and foster network growth, actively building relationships with target user and partner segments.
- In partnership with the Community Manager, develop and manage strategies for digital and IRL (in real life) community experiences to reach business goals and targets
Requirements:
- 5+ years of work experience with 3+ years of community building work
- 1+ years experience facilitating of digital communication groups
- Be a no-task-too-big, no-task-too-small partner in crime to the Uniswap community and marketing team
- Crypto native, specifically in the DeFi ecosystem with some technical understanding of the Crypto/DeFi ecosystem, eg follows blockchain tech advancements and market trends; Able to explain token standards and how different DeFi platforms work at a high level
- Highly organized systems thinker
- Self-starter who prefers operating without a clearly defined playbook
- Track record of executing on large projects start-to-finish
- Comfortable with change, ability to adapt to new information
- NYC based, but willing to travel, up to 15-20%
Nice to haves:
- Relationships with key builders and leaders in crypto / web3
- Deep in different crypto communities, experience with Discord & Telegram
- Experience working on partnerships / collaborations with external partners
- Has successfully built & managed relationships on behalf of their company
- Has collaborated with different DeFi companies and/or industry builders in different capacities
- Experience with executing events and experiences
Minimum full-time salary of $128,000-$175,000. Disclosure in accordance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law. Full Time employees at Uniswap Labs are also eligible for other compensation elements, including equity, tokens, and benefits, dependent on the position type.
Uniswap Labs' Full-Time employee benefits include unlimited and encouraged time off, company-paid medical, dental, & vision for you and your dependents, gym subsidy, 401(k) participation, annual $1,500 education stipend, up to 16 weeks paid parental leave, home office setup stipend for remote employees and daily lunches at NY headquarters (all benefits are subject to applicable taxes and based on eligibility).
