Full-Time position as an in-house Graphic Designer with experience working for Fintech or Crypto Startups (DeFi specific experience a plus) (No agencies or Contract workers)

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and own the execution of the company’s marketing plan and strategies that support the company’s growth objectives, including ideating, developing, implementation of those strategies and plans
• Ability to execute, get your hands dirty, design and run successful campaigns across all channels including paid, programmatic, social, and third party influencers
• Track and monitor the performance of advertising campaigns, taking ownership of the performance and making ongoing iterative changes where required
• Enthusiastically address comments, questions, messages, concerns that appear on social media - Including the ability to manage community managers who manage the social channels
• Produce and share engaging content with the company’s social media and customer followers
• Involve and proactively engage community across social media platforms, with followers, KOLs and other organizations

Minimum (Must have) Qualifications:

• Portfolio required (Behance, Dribble, Portfolio, Fabrik etc or Figma or Adobe Link is fine) or a selection of organized work in hosted in one URL is preferred. No applications will be considered without a portfolio.
• 3+ years of Full-time design experience (Advertising agency or crypto project experience also welcome)
• At least 1 year of working for a known DeFi project in the past 2 years Late 2019 to Present (Experience in a well-known cryptocurrency firm can also be considered depending on the quality of experience. This is must as there are terms and a “look and feel” of designs and interfaces of common web3 / DeFi products in the market)
• Degree from an established art and design school (Bachelor / Masters Degree)
• Proficiency in web design (please indicate which software you use to do this and provide an example in your portfolio)
• Ability to use Adobe suites of products (Photoshop, XD) and other design tools. (Webflow, Figma and animation tools would be a huge plus!)
• Startup mindset - ability to work in a fast paced crypto startup and knows terms such as MVP, Lean Startup and Sprints. (Unfortunately, we are not a 9 to 5 job)
• A demonstrated interest in cryptocurrency in some capacity (Bonus for having actively traded cryptocurrency and have used DeFi products in the market)
• Near native fluency in English, written, reading, writing, presenting. (Non-Negotiable)

Nice-to-have qualifications:

• Experience working for a crypto startup which has successfully listed on an exchange within the past year 2021-2022 (Preference will be given)
• UI UX Design experience for Dapps (Crypto Apps), Web3 applications and Retail facing fintech apps. (Ability to use apps for quick interactive mockups will be great)
• Knowledge or experience of using the following tools: Zoom, Slack, Calendly, Canva, Airtable.
• The publishing level fluency in another language besides English (Mandarin, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Russian, Turkish or Korean etc)

Compensation

• Market competitive: If you are invited for our second interview, we will ask you for your salary expectation range. The first interview will be purely blind to assess your fit, motivations and alignment with the company.
• There will be a team token allocations based on meeting and exceeding key milestones and overall performance.

Work Location and Arrangement Preference

• Full-time on-site is required if you are in Hong Kong (Hong Kong Cyberport Office Location)
• Remote is possible if you are located outside of Hong Kong but must be in Asia or Europe. Candidates from outside this geographical locations will not be entertained at this moment due to time zone differences and our need to work as a team at a fast pace.
• Highest preference will be given to the candidate who is based in Hong Kong who can legally work in Hong Kong and work visa sponsorship is not available at the moment.

AlgoBlocks focuses on Fin Tech and Blockchain / Cryptocurrency. Their company has offices in Hong Kong. They have a small team that's between 1-10 employees. To date, AlgoBlocks has raised $1.9M of funding; their latest round was closed on January 2022.
